MP Filter FHP Series

Description

The MP FHP Series Filter represents a versatile range of high-pressure inline filters, designed to protect critical components in hydraulic systems of industrial equipment and mobile machines. By directly connecting to the system’s pressure lines via specific hydraulic fittings, they ensure excellent operational efficiency.

Performance and Operating Capacity

These filters are designed to withstand a maximum operating pressure of 42 MPa (420 bar) and have been tested to resist a burst pressure up to 126 MPa (1260 bar). They handle fluids with significant flow rates, reaching up to 630 l/min. The allowable operating temperature range spans from -25°C to +110°C, making the series suitable for the most demanding industrial environments.

Variants and Models of the Series

The range includes various variants to meet specific dimensional and installation requirements: FHP 010-011, FHP 065, FHP 135, FHP 350-351, and FHP 500.

  • FHP 010-065-135-350-351-500: These provide an inline connection between the inlet and outlet.
  • FHP 011: This features a 90° connection between the inlet and outlet. Available with female threaded connections up to 1 1/2″ and flanged connections up to 2″. All FHP series filters are designed exclusively for vertical mounting.

Materials and Construction Features

Structural reliability is ensured through the use of extremely robust materials: the head is made of phosphated cast iron, while the housing is made of phosphated steel. The standard seals provided are made of NBR (Series A), with the option of FPM (Series V). Depending on design needs, the filter can be equipped with dedicated internal valves:

  • Bypass Valve: This helps alleviate excessive pressure drop, with a standard opening setting of 0.6 MPa (6 bar). The material of this valve varies by model: AISI 316L (010-011), Brass (065-135), Brass and AISI 304 (350-351), and Steel (500).
  • Check Valve: Made entirely of steel, it protects the system from reverse flows.
  • Reverse Flow Valve: Made of steel (models FHP 350 and 500), allowing bidirectional flow within the housing, although the return flow is not filtered.

Filtration Grades and Filter Elements

The flow direction through the filter element is always from the outside (OUT) to the inside (IN). The elements are calibrated to handle the circuit pressures:

  • Low collapse elements (“N” or “R” with external support): Used in combination with filters equipped with a bypass valve.
  • High collapse elements (“H” or “S” with external support): Necessary for filters without a bypass valve. The filtration grade ensures excellent fineness by using inorganic microfiber media (3, 6, 10, 16, or 25 µm) or metal mesh (25 µm).
