The MP Filter FMMX Series represents an extremely versatile in-line solution, specifically designed to protect sensitive components within high-pressure hydraulic circuits. These devices are primarily used in mobile machinery and agricultural equipment, where they ensure optimal fluid cleanliness. Installation is performed through direct connection to system lines using dedicated hydraulic fittings, and the design strictly requires vertical mounting.
One of the key features of this series is the integration of MYclean technology, developed to safeguard machinery against the improper use of non-original products. The filter uses the exclusive HPX filter element, characterized by a polygonal geometry and equipped with specific seals. This technical design ensures that only original replacement elements can be installed, maintaining consistent filtration performance over time and increasing the operational reliability of the entire system. Additionally, the series can optionally be equipped with the zerospark+ system. This specialized solution is designed to eliminate issues related to electrostatic discharges inside the filter, caused by electrical charge accumulation due to oil flow. The adoption of this technology prevents damage to the filter element, fluid, and circuit components, reducing fire risks in environments where flammable materials are present.
The available models, FMMX050 and FMMX150, support a maximum working pressure of 42 MPa (420 bar) and manage hydraulic flow rates up to 300 l/min. Structural strength is tested at a proof pressure of 63 MPa (630 bar) and ensures a minimum burst pressure of 126 MPa (1260 bar). The assemblies have also been validated through fatigue testing with pressure impulses for 1,000,000 cycles, with variations from 0 to 420 bar. The flow direction through the filter media proceeds from the outside to the inside (OUT to IN). Construction materials provide high strength: the head is made of painted cast iron (black RAL 9005), the external housing is made of phosphated steel, and the bypass valve is made of steel. The body also features an external protective coating to optimize flow and preserve filter element efficiency from improper handling.
The system offers excellent technical configuration flexibility. Available connections are female threaded, with sizes up to 1 1/4″. The series includes an optional bypass valve, with an opening pressure set at 6 bar (±10%), specifically designed to relieve excessive pressure drop across the filter media. For continuous clogging condition monitoring, visual, electrical, or electronic differential indicators can be integrated. Filter elements are available in different filtration grades, using inorganic microfiberglass (with efficiency from 3 µm to 25 µm) or metal mesh at 25 µm, supporting standard pressure drops (Δp) of 20 bar (Series N) or high pressure drops of 210 bar (Series S). Standard sealing gaskets are supplied in NBR material (Series A), with optional FPM versions (Series V), enabling operation across a wide temperature range from -25°C to +110°C.
