MP Filter Series FZH

The MP Filter Series FZH is designed to protect sensitive components in high-pressure hydraulic systems operating under harsh environmental conditions. Made of AISI 316L stainless steel, these in-line filters support a maximum working pressure of 70 MPa (700 bar) and flow rates up to 80 l/min. Suitable for vertical mounting, they provide maximum reliability for offshore applications, water filtration systems, and chemically aggressive fluids.

MP Filter Series FZH

Description

High-pressure stainless steel filters, specifically models FZH 012 and FZH 040, are developed for in-line installation within hydraulic circuits. The main structural components of the MP Filter Series FZH, including the head, housing, and bypass valve, are entirely made of AISI 316L stainless steel. This material configuration ensures excellent resistance in offshore applications, water systems, and in environments or with fluids that are highly corrosive. Installation of these components is designed exclusively for vertical mounting, with direct connection to system lines through hydraulic fittings.

Pressure and Flow Specifications

Operating performance reaches very high standards, with a maximum working pressure of up to 70 MPa (700 bar) and a maximum flow rate of 80 l/min, supported by 1/2″ female threaded connections. Structural validation includes rigorous testing:

  • Guaranteed test pressure of 105 MPa (1050 bar).
  • Minimum certified burst pressure of 210 MPa (2100 bar).
  • Pulsating pressure fatigue test successfully completed for 1,000,000 cycles with pressure variation from 0 to 70 MPa (700 bar).

Filter Elements and Valves

The internal operating principle involves fluid flow traveling from outside to inside (OUT to IN) of the filter element. Filtration is ensured by inorganic microfiber media, available with precision ratings of 3 µm, 6 µm, 10 µm, 16 µm, and 25 µm. The range offers several types of filter elements to meet specific system requirements:

  • “N” elements with low collapse resistance (20 bar) intended for filters equipped with a bypass valve.
  • “H” elements with high collapse resistance (210 bar) for filters without a bypass valve.
  • “R” (20 bar) and “S” (210 bar) elements equipped with external support to protect against back pressure caused by check valves or reverse flows.
  • “U” elements with high collapse resistance (210 bar), featuring stainless steel components designed to withstand the most aggressive fluids.

Models equipped with a bypass valve feature an opening pressure calibrated at 6 bar (±10%), essential to relieve excessive pressure drop across the filter media.

Seals, Temperatures, and Accessories

Standard thermal operation ranges from -25°C to +110°C using standard NBR seals (Series A). For specific requirements, the range can be extended from -50°C to +120°C by adopting optional FPM seals (Series V, -20°C to +120°C) or MFQ seals (Series F). For continuous efficiency monitoring, the system supports differential clogging indicators available in visual (DVZ), electrical (DEZ), and electronic/visual (DLZ) versions. 5.
