The series is divided into two main models that differ in connection geometry: the LMP 950 model features inline inlet and outlet ports, while the LMP 951 model is equipped with 90-degree inlet and outlet ports. Both versions include flanged connections up to 4 inches.
The robustness of the system is ensured by the materials used for the housing construction. The head, bowl, and bypass valve are entirely made of anodized aluminum. The filters feature a base-mounted design, specifically conceived to simplify and speed up filter element replacement operations. The system operating temperature range is between -25°C and +110°C. The sealing system includes standard NBR seals (series A), with the option to select FPM seals (series V).
The system integrates a bypass valve designed to relieve excessive pressure drops across the filter media, with an opening pressure set at 0.35 MPa (3.5 bar) with a tolerance of ±10%. Additional opening pressures are available upon request. The unit includes vent ports to prevent trapped air from entering the system and drain ports to remove fluid from the housing prior to maintenance operations. Differential clogging monitoring is performed through visual, electrical, and electronic indicators.
The flow through the filter element proceeds from the outside to the inside. Compatible filter elements belong to the CU950 series and offer fine filtration ratings to ensure a high level of system cleanliness. Filter media options include inorganic microfiber (with filtration ratings of 3, 6, 10, 16, and 25 µm), wire mesh (with filtration ratings of 25, 60, and 90 µm), and inorganic microfiber for water absorption at 25 µm, used to remove free water from hydraulic fluid. The standard collapse pressure (Δp) for these elements in series N configuration is 20 bar. For reduced flow rates below 100/150 l/min, the P02 version equipped with an internal tube is recommended, as it significantly simplifies filling the housing with operating fluid.
Based on the specified operating characteristics, the primary application of these components is off-line reservoir filtration. They are also essential within filtration equipment and lubrication circuits. The devices undergo rigorous durability and safety testing, including a pulsating pressure fatigue test of 1,000,000 cycles from 0 to 3 MPa (30 bar) and a guaranteed minimum burst pressure of 9 MPa (90 bar).
