The MP Filter Series MDH is designed for efficient and compact hydraulic tank management. It supports semi-submerged or fully submerged installations for vertical mounting. It ensures filtration with flow from inside to outside, retaining impurities inside the used element and protecting the system from cavitation and foam formation. Offering flow rates up to 500 l/min and a maximum pressure of 10 bar, it represents an ideal solution for mobile machinery and heavy-duty industrial equipment.
The MP Filter Series MDH represents an advanced filtration product line specifically developed for compact and efficient hydraulic tank management. Designed for return-line installation in vertical position, these filters can be mounted in semi-submerged or fully submerged configurations, ensuring overall system cleanliness. A key aspect of this design is the reduction of air volume and velocity entering the tank space. This dynamic promotes rapid air separation from the fluid, protecting the system from the negative effects of air contamination, such as abnormal responses, cavitation, foam formation, and rapid oil degradation. Filtration occurs with an optimized flow path from inside to outside of the element (IN to OUT). This ensures that during maintenance operations, contaminated fluid remains trapped inside the exhausted filter element, eliminating the risk of reintroducing residual contaminants into the system.
The robustness and reliability of the MDH series, including MDH 250 models, result from a rigorous selection of construction materials.
The performance of these return-line filters meets demanding operating requirements. The maximum supported working pressure is 1 MPa (10 bar), with a certified test pressure of 1.5 MPa (15 bar) and a minimum burst pressure of 3 MPa (30 bar). Pulsating pressure fatigue testing is guaranteed for 1,000,000 cycles from 0 to 1 MPa (10 bar). The filter supports high flow rates up to 500 l/min. Connection interfaces include female threaded and flanged connections up to 1 1/2″. The filter may include multiple connections to facilitate integration of several return lines or drain lines into a single point.
Replacement elements for the series (such as the DH250 family for MDH 250 filters) are available in different construction lengths, identified by codes 2 and 4. The variety of filter media enables fine filtration to achieve high levels of tank cleanliness:
Accessory options include an optional filling plug (to add clean fluid without extra tank openings), an oil level dipstick, and a flat gasket compatible with multiple mounting surface types. Monitoring is ensured through visual, electrical, electronic, and differential pressure clogging indicators. Thanks to its compact size and high reliability, the most common applications of this filter include heavy-duty industrial equipment and large mobile machinery, especially where available tank space is limited.
