The MP SFEX Series Filter is a suction filter designed to protect downstream pumps from coarse contamination. It ensures a maximum flow rate of up to 100 l/min and is designed for vertical installation below the minimum oil level. It offers female thread or SAE connections and an exclusive MYclean interface to prevent the use of non-original spare parts. Designed for mobile machines and industrial equipment, it operates at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +110°C.
Designed to ensure maximum reliability of hydraulic systems, the devices in the MP SFEX Series represent an advanced solution for protecting downstream pumps against coarse contamination. These suction filters are designed to be mounted inline and positioned below the minimum oil level, ensuring a safe flow directly connected to the pump’s suction line. The installation of these components is strictly vertical.
The range is divided into two main sizes: SFEX 060 and SFEX 110. Both models are designed to handle a maximum flow rate of up to 100 l/min and share the same construction quality, differing in volume, element lengths (10 and 20), and fluid handling capacity based on size. The series offers great installation versatility, with female thread connections up to 1 1/4″ and SAE connections up to 1 5/8″. The maximum total pressure drop allowed for a new and clean filter in suction is set at 0.08 bar (1.15 psi).
Structural robustness is a key element of this series. The filter head is made entirely of aluminum, a material that ensures mechanical strength and lightness. The housing (bowl) is made of polyamide, a polymer used also for the bypass valve, which is reinforced with steel components. The standard sealing system uses NBR (Series A) gaskets.
A distinctive feature of these filters is the integration of the MYclean interface connection for the filter element. This engineering is crucial for protecting the product and hydraulic circuit from the use of non-original spare parts, ensuring performance specifications are maintained. The filter element also features an external protective casing specially designed to optimize flow and preserve the efficiency of the filter media against improper handling.
The available filter media include metal mesh (M) and resin-impregnated paper (P). The metal mesh is available with nominal filtration grades of 25 µm, 60 µm, 90 µm, and 250 µm. The resin-impregnated paper is available in 10 µm and 25 µm. The flow direction through the component always occurs from the outside to the inside (OUT to IN).
To prevent flow anomalies, the system can integrate a bypass valve with an opening pressure set at 0.03 MPa (0.3 bar), with a tolerance of 10%. This valve intervenes to relieve excessive pressure drop across the filter element. For continuous clogging level monitoring, the series provides the installation of visual, electrical, axial, or radial vacuum indicators.
Thanks to its robust construction and strict tolerances, the filters in this range operate over a wide thermal range, supporting temperatures from -25°C to +110°C. Their characteristics make them ideal for use on mobile machines and various types of industrial equipment.
