MP Filtri Barometric Pressure Indicators

MP Filtri Barometric Pressure Indicators are designed for installation on return lines to verify the efficiency of filter elements. By measuring pressure upstream of the filter, they provide precise clogging diagnostics. They are available in electrical (BE), visual (BV), and electrical/visual (BL) versions. Featuring standard EN 10226 – R1/8″ threaded connection, they use HNBR seals and support maximum working pressures from 10 to 40 bar depending on the series.

MP Filtri Barometric Pressure Indicators

Description

MP Filtri Barometric Pressure Indicators are essential diagnostic devices, typically used on return lines in hydraulic circuits to monitor the efficiency and wear condition of the filter element. Their operating principle is based on the accurate detection of pressure upstream of the filter, helping prevent performance drops in the system.

Available Models and Variants

The range is divided into several series to meet specific monitoring requirements:

  • Electrical Series (BE): Includes models BEA, BEM, and BET, designed to transmit an electrical signal when the set pressure is reached.
  • Electrical/Visual Series (BL): Model BLA combines visual indication through lamps (24 Vdc, 110 Vdc, or 230 Vac) integrated into a transparent or black base, with an electrical signal.
  • Visual Series (BV): Includes BVA gauges with axial connection and BVR gauges with radial connection, equipped with a copper alloy Bourdon tube. This series also includes push-button models BVP, with automatic reset, and BVQ, with manual reset.

Design Features and Connections

  • The indicator body is made of brass with high mechanical strength.
  • Standard sealing gaskets are made of HNBR elastomer.
  • All standard models use an EN 10226 – R1/8″ threaded connection.
  • Electrical devices use silver contacts and polyamide bases.
  • Electrical connection options include AMP Superseal 1.5, Deutsch DT-04-2-P, four-pole cable, EN 175301-803, and IEC 61076-2-101 D (M12).

Operating Data and Compatibility

  • Pressure Settings: Devices can be supplied with preset activation pressures of 1.4, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 bar.
  • Maximum Working Pressure: Reaches 40 bar for BEA, BEM, BLA, BVA, and BVR series, while it is limited to 10 bar for BET, BVP, and BVQ models.
  • Operating Temperatures: The standard operating temperature range is from -25°C to +80°C, with the BET series capable of operating up to +100°C. BVA and BVR gauges operate with ambient temperatures from -40°C to +60°C and a maximum fluid temperature of +60°C.
  • Compatible Fluids: The indicators ensure full compatibility with mineral oils, synthetic fluids, and water-based HFB and HFC fluids, in compliance with ISO 2943.
  • Protection Ratings: Range from IP31 for gauges, IP45 for BVP/BVQ models, IP65 for standard connector versions, up to IP67 for wired BEM versions.

Applications and Certifications

These indicators are compatible for installation on multiple return filters (e.g. RFEX, MPFX, MPTX, FRI series), return/suction filters (MRSX, LMP124), and spin-on filters (MPS). For applications in sensitive or hazardous operating environments, ATEX (EX) and UL certifications are also available.
