MP Filtri Vacuum Indicators

MP Filtri Vacuum Indicators are designed for installation on suction lines, monitoring filter element efficiency by measuring downstream pressure. The range includes VE electrical indicators, VL visual/electrical models, and VV gauge series. Supplied with EN 10226 R 1/4″ and R 1/8″ connections, they operate with mineral oils, synthetic fluids, and HFB/HFC solutions according to ISO 2943 standards.

MP Filtri Vacuum Indicators

Description

MP Filtri Vacuum Indicators are precision instruments used exclusively on suction lines of hydraulic circuits. Their function is to verify the efficiency of the filter element by measuring the pressure drop downstream of the filter itself. In hydraulic filtration technical catalogs, these components are identified by the reference letter “V”.

Compatibility with Filter Series

These indicators are designed for native integration with several suction, return, and spin-on filter series. Compatibility broadly includes STRC, MPAC, SFEX, SFMC, SFSC, MRSX, LMP124, and MPS series. Standard models feature an R 1/4″ EN 10226 connection, while variants with R 1/8″ EN 10226 connection are specifically developed for installation on the MPS series.

Series Design Features

Series VE – Electrical Indicators

The VE series consists of purely electrical vacuum indicators. They feature a brass body and a black polyamide base, with silver contacts.

  • The vacuum setting is calibrated at 0.21 bar.
  • The maximum supported working pressure is 10 bar, with a proof pressure of 15 bar.
  • The standard electrical connection complies with EN 175301-803.
  • Seals are available in NBR (standard for VEA and VEB) and FPM (optional for VEA).
  • For hazardous environments, configurations with ATEX and IECEx certification are available, along with UL-certified variants.

Series VL – Electrical and Visual Indicators

The VL series combines visual and electrical indication. They maintain the same maximum pressure (10 bar) and setting (0.21 bar) specifications as the VE series.

  • Models VL*51, VL*52, and VL*53 use a transparent polyamide base equipped with integrated lamps (respectively 24 Vdc, 110 Vdc, and 230 Vac).
  • Model VL*71 uses an IEC 61076-2-101 D (M12) connection on a black base with 24 Vdc lamps.

Series VV – Visual Gauges

The visual gauges of the VV series provide direct reading of vacuum level through an analog dial.

  • They are divided into models with axial connection (VVA, VVB) and radial connection (VVR, VVS).
  • The pressure-sensitive element is a C-type Bourdon tube made of copper alloy, soft-soldered.
  • The casing is made of black plastic with a white dial protected by a transparent plastic window.
  • The dial features a scale divided into three color zones (Green, Yellow, Red) for quick visual diagnostics.
  • They ensure Class 2.5 accuracy according to EN 13190.

Fluid Specifications and Operating Conditions

All models ensure full compatibility with mineral oils, synthetic fluids, and water-based fluids HFB and HFC in accordance with ISO 2943.

  • The electrical series (VE, VL) provide IP65 protection according to EN 60529 and operate within a temperature range from -25 °C to +80 °C.
  • The VV gauge series provides IP31 protection. They can operate at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C and withstand a maximum fluid temperature of 60 °C.
