The Miselli Press-Fit Breather Cap TP – TPF – TPV Series is molded in Polyamide 66, ensuring stability and thermal resistance up to 100°C for hydraulic components. Designed for press-fit mounting with +0.1 tolerance, it ensures perfect hydraulic sealing thanks to two NBR 70 Shore O-Rings. The series offers optimal solutions for every need: standard caps (TP) , with polyurethane or bronze filter (TPF) for 30µ filtration , and versions with a one-way valve calibrated at 0.30 bar (TPV) for overpressure management.
The Miselli Press-Fit Breather Cap TP – TPF – TPV Series represents a fundamental engineering solution for the proper management of fluids inside hydraulic tanks and power units. The entire range is designed to offer different venting and internal pressure control methods, adapting to multiple hydraulic circuit configurations.
All components in the series are made of high-performance thermoplastic material, specifically Polyamide 66. The use of this polymer ensures excellent mechanical resistance, high dimensional stability, and excellent impact resistance. The caps are designed to operate in a demanding thermal range, supporting a maximum operating temperature of 100°C. The technical design includes a cylindrical head equipped with vertical lobes, ensuring optimal grip during installation or inspection. As standard, the component body is supplied in black, paired with a red cover. Graphically, the cover features the oil filling symbol and the wording “OIL” for the TP and TPF versions, while the TPV variant is identified by the valve graphic symbol. Cover customization is available upon request and for adequate quantities. Hydraulic sealing is provided by two NBR 70 Shore O-Ring gaskets, perfectly housed in their respective mechanical seats.
The product family is divided into three main variants to cover every application requirement. The TP series identifies standard press-fit breather caps. The TPF series integrates an air filter. This variant ensures a high venting flow rate and is therefore recommended for application on hydraulic systems characterized by sudden liquid volume changes, which cause the intake of large volumes of air. The use of the TPF series is recommended where there are no strong oil splashes or oil agitation. Where additional fluid-dynamic protection is required, the TPF/18/AL version equipped with an oil splash guard is available upon request. The TPV series, equipped with an integrated one-way valve, is specific for venting air outward in conditions of internal overpressure. The action of this valve, controlled by a spring calibrated at approximately 0.30 bar, allows venting while preventing the ingress of environmental impurities and blocking the escape of oil splashes.
The standard filtration system for TPF models uses an air filter made of polyester-based reticulated polyurethane foam (PPI 60 as standard, PPI 90 upon request). This material provides an indicative filtration rating of 30µ. Maintenance operations are extremely quick, as the filter can be easily replaced by removing the red cover. For applications requiring different filter materials, the TPF/BR model is available upon request, using a sintered bronze filter.
Regardless of the chosen variant (TP, TPF or TPV), the fastening system is exclusively press-fit. The coupling requires a hole sized according to the specific diameter of the cap, ensuring a hole tolerance of +0.1. For correct positioning and to prevent damage to the O-Rings, it is mandatory to provide a 1/45° entry chamfer.
