STAUFF Bridge Weld Plate (Type BSP – Standard Series)

Categories , Tag

The STAUFF Bridge Weld Plate (Type BSP – Standard Series) is designed for secure clamping in hydraulic systems, in strict compliance with DIN 3015, Part 1. Available for STAUFF Groups 1A to 6, it provides a high-strength structural installation using standardised ISO Metric (M6) or 1/4-20 UNC threads. Reliability is ensured by the available material options, ranging from phosphated or zinc-plated carbon steel (W2, W3) to stainless steel versions (V2A, V4A).

STAUFF Bridge Weld Plate (Type BSP – Standard Series)

Description

Construction Specifications and Reference Standards

The STAUFF Bridge Weld Plate (Type BSP – Standard Series) is an essential component for clamping and structural anchoring in complex hydraulic systems. Designed in full compliance with DIN 3015, Part 1 (Standard Series), this plate ensures optimal mechanical fastening under operating stress. The series is designed to interface with components from STAUFF Groups 1A to 6, corresponding exactly to DIN Groups 1 to 6, thereby providing immediate compatibility in industrial layouts.

Geometric Dimensions and Group Classification

The construction dimensions of Type BSP (Bridge Weld Plate) vary according to the application group, ensuring dimensional versatility while maintaining constant thickness (S = 3 mm) and heights (H1 = 13 mm, H2 = 6.5 mm), with the exception of specific widths and hole patterns.

  • STAUFF Group 1A (DIN 1): Features an L2 centre distance of 20 mm, integrated into a total length L1 of 48 mm and a width B of 30 mm. The coupling hole ØD measures 12 mm.
  • STAUFF Group 2 (DIN 2): Features an increased L1 length of 54 mm, with an L2 centre distance of 26 mm and the same width B and ØD dimension as the smaller size.
  • STAUFF Group 3 (DIN 3): Extends the total length L1 to 62 mm, with the L2 coupling centre distance positioned at 33 mm.
  • STAUFF Group 4 (DIN 4): Features an overall longitudinal dimension L1 of 71 mm, combined with an L2 dimension of 40 mm.
  • STAUFF Group 5 (DIN 5): Features a further dimensional increase, with an L1 length of 85 mm and an L2 centre distance set at 52 mm.
  • STAUFF Group 6 (DIN 6): Designed for clamping larger-diameter tubing within the Standard Series, it features a total L1 length of 98 mm and an L2 dimension of 66 mm.

Material Coding and Surface Treatments

Clamping efficiency in demanding environments is determined by the construction material, which can be identified through precise ordering codes to adapt the corrosion resistance and operating life of the system:

  • Code W2: Carbon steel with a phosphated surface treatment (Carbon Steel, phosphated).
  • Code W3: Carbon steel protected against oxidation by a zinc/nickel coating (Carbon Steel, zinc/nickel-plated).
  • Code W4: V2A stainless steel, including variants compliant with alloys 1.4301 and 1.4305 (AISI 304 / 303 classification).
  • Code W5: V4A stainless steel, based on highly resistant alloys 1.4401 and 1.4571 (AISI 316 / 316 Ti classification).

Thread Types (Thread G)

The bridge plate assembly provides clamping interfaces compatible with international fastening systems. Thread specifications (Thread G) are available with ISO metric threads (Code M) or Unified Coarse threads (Code U – UNC). Specifically, throughout the BSP series analysed from size 1A to 6, the available options are strictly M6 threads or, as an alternative, 1/4-20 UNC. The standard catalogue code, such as the example BSP-1A-M-W1, technically identifies in sequence the type (BSP), the group, the metric or UNC format and the optional version of the structural block.
