Stauff Clamp Body for Conduits and Cables (Type CHC – Standard Series)
The STAUFF Clamp Body for Conduits and Cables (Type CHC – Standard Series) is designed in accordance with DIN 3015 to ensure secure industrial clamping. The flame-retardant polyamide body features an anti-slip internal surface. The bevelled edges prevent damage to the conduits, while the optional elastomer inserts provide excellent protection for individual cables, even under extreme weather conditions. The available product code families are: 210-*, 212-*, 317-*, 423-*, 529-*, 536-*, 648-* (Clamp Bodies) and RI-CHC-* (Inserts).
Stauff Clamp Body for Conduits and Cables (Type CHC – Standard Series)
The internal surface design of the clamp body has been carefully engineered to prevent any slipping or unwanted movement of the corrugated conduits during use. Each Type CHC clamp body consists of two halves that fit together to securely clamp the conduit. To optimise the long-term integrity of the system, the edges of the body are specially bevelled; this feature prevents accidental damage to the conduits themselves and reduces wear caused by friction. The entire system provides excellent resistance to weather conditions, operating optimally even in extreme environmental conditions.
The versatility of the system is supported by the use of high-quality thermoplastic materials. The standard base body is made of black Polyamide and is also available in a special flame-retardant version identified by the code PA-VO-CHC-BK.
For securing individual cables requiring dedicated protection, the system includes the use of an elastomer insert (Type RI-CHC), also consisting of two halves, for safe and damage-free installation. These inserts are available in two compound types:
Available for all nominal sizes commonly required by the market, the clamp covers STAUFF Groups 2 to 6. The complete basic assembly is obtained by combining one clamp body and one elastomer insert.
For mechanical installation, the use of socket head screws (IS) is recommended. Bolt lengths range from M6x25 to M6x60 for systems with ISO Metric threads, and from 1/4-20 UNC x 1 to 1/4-20 UNC x 2-1/2 for systems with unified UNC threads. The system is designed to be assembled without the cover plate (DP), using instead the weld plate (SP), hex rail nut (SM) and rail adapter (CRA).
The ordering string uniquely identifies the component parameters. A complete assembly code, such as 3 17- 10/14- PA-CHC SA-VO, can be broken down into the following technical data: the STAUFF Group (e.g. 3), the nominal conduit size (e.g. 17), the cable diameter range (e.g. 10/14 mm), and finally the material codes for the clamp body (e.g. PA-CHC) and the insert (e.g. SA-VO). For specific technical requirements, STAUFF can provide additional outside diameters and alternative materials upon request.
