The STAUFF Clamp Body with Elastomer Insert (Type RI – Standard Series) is designed in accordance with DIN 3015, Part 1. Ideal for installing pipes while reducing noise and vibrations, or for the gentle mounting of flexible hoses and cables. It features a clamp body made from Polypropylene or Polyamide and a thermoplastic elastomer insert (73 Shore-A) with excellent weathering resistance. The STAUFF Clamp Body with Elastomer Insert (Type RI – Standard Series) is a highly reliable construction solution developed in accordance with DIN 3015, Part 1. This fastening component is specifically designed to provide excellent vibration and noise reduction when installing rigid pipes within hydraulic systems. In addition, its construction makes it essential for the particularly gentle installation of flexible hoses and cables, protecting them against wear and mechanical stress. Proven across multiple industrial markets, it provides stable and reliable performance even in demanding applications.
The fastening assembly consists of two main elements: a clamp body, itself formed by two symmetrical halves, and an elastomer insert featuring a practical film hinge (Film Hinge). The standard materials for the clamp body are Polypropylene (black, material code PP-R) and Polyamide (black, material code PA-R). The insert is manufactured from Thermoplastic Elastomer with a hardness of 73 Shore-A (black) and is characterised by its exceptional weathering resistance, ensuring durability even under extreme environmental conditions.
For installations requiring stringent protection standards, special flame-retardant materials are available for the clamp body. These advanced materials are rigorously tested and approved in accordance with leading international fire protection standards, including BS 6853, EN 45545-2 and UL 94. Manufacturing flexibility also allows additional outside diameters to be supplied upon request, enabling adaptation to specific engineering requirements.
The ordering codes for the complete assembly follow a coded structure that identifies the STAUFF Group, the exact outside diameter (O.D.) in millimetres and the material code. The outside diameter covered by the Standard Series ranges from a minimum of 6 mm to a maximum of 32 mm. The modularity of the STAUFF system is reflected in the full cross-compatibility of the inserts: elastomer inserts designed for Standard Series Group 4 clamp bodies also fit Heavy Series Group 4S perfectly. Likewise, inserts for Standard Series Group 6 are compatible with Heavy Series Group 5S clamp bodies.
