The STAUFF Mounting Rail Nut (Type GMV – Heavy Series) is a highly reliable fastening solution specifically designed for the installation of Heavy Series clamps in accordance with DIN 3015, Part 2. This structural component is used in combination with STSV mounting rails, ensuring optimal mechanical retention and flexible positioning along the entire rail axis within hydraulic and industrial systems subject to high mechanical loads.

Operating Principle

The Type GMV mounting nut is inserted directly into the profile of the STSV rail. Thanks to its geometric design and guide grooves, it slides within the rail, allowing the clamp to be positioned precisely and continuously in the required location. When the bracket bolts are tightened, the Type GMV nut locks firmly against the inner flanges of the STSV profile, distributing the mechanical load evenly and preventing any unintended axial movement caused by vibrations or pressure fluctuations within the hydraulic circuit.

Construction Features and Materials

Type GMV mounting rail nuts are manufactured with calibrated geometries to ensure a perfect fit with STSV mounting rails. The range covers STAUFF Groups 3S to 5S, corresponding to DIN Groups 1, 2 and 3 of the Heavy Series, and STAUFF Group 6S, corresponding to DIN Group 4. To meet the different environmental and chemical requirements of the system, GMV nuts are available in three material and surface treatment options:

  • W3: Zinc/nickel-plated carbon steel, providing excellent corrosion protection in standard industrial environments.
  • W4: V2A stainless steel (1.4301 / 1.4305 – AISI 304 / 303), suitable for environments requiring hygienic properties and resistance to oxidation.
  • W5: V4A stainless steel (1.4401 / 1.4571 – AISI 316 / 316 Ti), specifically intended for highly corrosive, marine, chemical and offshore environments.
