The “Round Steel U-Bolt” configuration uses a U-shaped steel rod featuring two threaded ends. This double-threaded geometry allows an ideal fit to match the exact outside diameter of the pipe, ensuring firm retention and even distribution of the mechanical load. The standard supply includes the U-bolt and two fastening nuts compliant with DIN EN ISO 4032, supplied unassembled to facilitate installation operations on site.

Construction Features and Materials

To meet different environmental and operating requirements, the STAUFF Round U-Bolt Clamp RBD (DIN 3570, Type A – without Saddle) is available in three material variants (Material Code), each identified by a specific designation:

• W1: Manufactured from uncoated Carbon Steel, ideal for standard applications.
• W32: Manufactured from zinc-plated, blue-chromated Carbon Steel, providing a protective barrier against oxidation in moderately aggressive environments.
• W5: Manufactured from high-quality V4A Stainless Steel (1.4401/1.4571 – AISI 316/316 Ti), specifically designed to withstand severe corrosive agents.

Alternative materials and surface finishes are also available upon request for specific project requirements.

Depending on the clamp size (identified by Dimension A, ranging from 30 mm to 554 mm), the ends feature metric threads (Thread G) proportioned to the expected load: M10 for smaller diameters, M12 and M16 for medium sizes, up to M20 and M24 for large-diameter pipes. The structural dimensions vary accordingly to ensure the integrity of the fastening system in every configuration.
