The STAUFF Single Clamp Body LBBU provides a high-performance technical solution for the secure clamping and fastening of rigid pipes, flexible hoses and conduits (Pipe/Tube/Hose) within hydraulic systems and complex fluid power installations. Belonging to the Light Series, this component has been specifically engineered and developed for industrial applications where installation space is extremely limited. Its compact architecture and low weight do not compromise the high structural reliability required in pressurised circuits.

The central element, namely the clamp body, is precisely moulded from Thermoplastic Elastomer with a hardness of 87 Shore-A. This material, identified by manufacturer code SA and supplied in the standard black colour, provides the clamp with excellent mechanical properties. The specific thermoplastic compound ensures superior resistance to continuous exposure to UV radiation, ozone and severe weathering, thereby providing extended durability even in outdoor or demanding operating environments. An essential construction feature of the STAUFF Single Clamp Body LBBU is the integration of an internal metal bushing (embedded metal sleeve); this technical feature prevents deformation of the elastomer under load and ensures absolute stability of the clamping assembly throughout the entire service life of the system.

Operating Principle and Operational Benefits

From a dynamic perspective, the intrinsic properties of the 87 Shore-A thermoplastic elastomer play a crucial role in absorbing mechanical stresses. The component provides effective vibration damping, minimising the transmission of mechanical shocks along the hydraulic line, and also contributes significantly to noise reduction. The clamp body design varies according to size (Group): to optimise installation, Sizes 1 and 3 are equipped with a practical film hinge that facilitates opening and rapid insertion of the pipe, while Size 2 features a slotted design.

Variants and Modular Mounting Types

The STAUFF system is characterised by its high modularity, supporting different installation configurations through the combination of the clamp body with dedicated accessories, including the Hexagon Head Bolt AS, the upper Cover Plate LBBU-DP and the Sleeve LBBU-HUE:

• Type SP Mounting: This configuration uses a lower Weld Plate LBBU-SP. The W10 standard version uses phosphated carbon steel for the weld plate, providing a solid and protected base, while the remaining metal components are manufactured from zinc/nickel-plated carbon steel.
• Type SM Mounting: Specifically designed for fastening on Mounting Rails TS, it uses an SM-2-5D hexagon rail nut. The standard W3 variant features all metal components in zinc/nickel-plated carbon steel, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance.
• Type PM Mounting: This configuration is designed for direct panel mounting, without the use of a weld plate or rail nut. It is also supplied to the W3 standard for the metal parts.

Technical Specifications and Supported Dimensions

The entire range is designed to cover the main standard outside diameters, including both metric and imperial sizes, within a range from 4 mm to 32 mm. Nominal diameters vary according to the size group: Group 1 supports outside diameters from 6 mm up to 12.7 mm (1/2 inch); Group 2 accommodates pipe sections from 10 mm to 20 mm; finally, Group 3 is intended for larger-diameter pipes, from 21.3 mm up to 32 mm (1-1/4 inches). To ensure maximum international compatibility, the fastening components are available with standard M8 metric threads or, alternatively, U5/16 UNC threads.
