Description
SRM Series Filter Elements: Efficiency and Versatility for Auxiliary Filtration
Stauff SRM replacement filter elements are specifically designed for installation in offline and bypass filters, ensuring optimal cleanliness of hydraulic and lubrication fluids.
Their robust construction allows filtration to be tailored to specific operating conditions, with dedicated options for the removal of solid particles or water.
Filter Media Types and Applications
The SRM range offers targeted solutions based on official technical data:
- Paper Media (H-B Series): Cellulose-based elements, suitable for standard applications where basic contamination control is required.
- Glass Fiber Media (E-B Series): Made of inorganic glass fiber, these elements provide high-efficiency filtration. Available with filtration ratings of β₁ ≥ 200 (1 µm) and β₃ ≥ 200 (3 µm), ideal for protecting sensitive components.
- Water-Absorbing Media (EA Series): Special elements made of glass fiber and polymers, designed to retain water. Water absorption capacity is 350 ml for size SRM-30 and 700 ml for size SRM-60.
Technical and Dimensional Features
The Stauff SRM Replacement Filter Elements for Offline and Bypass Filters are available in two main sizes, SRM-30 and SRM-60:
- Dimensions: Element length of 300 mm (SRM-30) and 600 mm (SRM-60).
- Weight: Element weight is 0.8 kg for the SRM-30 series and 1.25 kg for the SRM-60 series.
Fluid Dynamic Performance
The elements are optimized to minimize pressure drop. Performance curves (Δp/Q according to DIN ISO 3968) demonstrate effective operation with viscosities ranging from 45 cSt up to 850 cSt, making them suitable for a wide range of operating conditions.
Nominal flow rate is 2.1 l/min for size 30 and 4.2 l/min for size 60 (with maximum viscosities defined at 180/800 cSt depending on the media).
