The Miselli Filling Plug Series TF – TMDF-1-BRC represents an advanced technical solution for the safe management of fluids and the protection of hydraulic circuits. Designed to operate in demanding industrial environments, these components combine venting and filling functions, ensuring strict control of external contamination.
Both the TF variant and the TMDF/1/BRC model are entirely molded in Polyamide 66, a thermoplastic material selected for its excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance in contact with hydraulic fluids. Hydraulic sealing is ensured, in the TF model, by an internal flat gasket made of NBR 70 Shore, which effectively prevents seepage and accidental leaks. Visually and operationally, the TF model is equipped with a red cap, while the TMDF/1/BRC version features a black cap; both bear the standardized graphic symbol for oil filling.
The venting system varies depending on the specific configuration of the Miselli Filling Plug Series TF – TMDF-1-BRC. The TF version, equipped with a 3/4″ Gas internal thread, uses an air filter made of reticulated polyester-based polyurethane foam (PPI 60). By contrast, the TMDF/1/BRC model uses a high-efficiency sintered bronze filter, with a filtration grade of 30 microns. This element ensures that the air drawn into the tank during natural fluid level fluctuations is free from particulate matter that could damage system tolerances.
A distinctive technical element of the TMDF/1/BRC model is the presence of an integrated filtering basket. Made of stainless steel with a filtration grade of 300 microns, this component acts as a primary pre-filter during topping-up operations. Using the basket during filling very effectively protects the fluid from the entry of macro-impurities into the tank, helping extend the service life of line filters and pumps. Topping-up operations are carried out quickly by directly removing the quick-release cap positioned above the plug body.
The two variants have been engineered to adapt to specific system requirements. The TF plug is particularly suitable for application on plastic hydraulic tanks; its internal thread facilitates screw mounting on externally threaded filler necks, thereby simplifying, from a technical standpoint, the molding of the tank itself. This model offers an air flow rate of up to 100 Lt/min, recorded with a pressure difference between inside and outside of 110 mbar. The TMDF/1/BRC variant, equipped with a G.1″ threaded connection, is instead optimized for installation on small and medium-sized tanks, with operating volumes between 25 and 100 liters. Thanks to its special internal fluid-dynamic architecture, it ensures a significantly higher air flow rate, reaching 500 Lt/min with a differential pressure of 150 mbar.
