Gear Pumps ALP-GHP Marzocchi

Gear pumps in a modular configuration that, when assembled together, form a multiple pump.

Depending on the requirements, pumps from both series can be assembled.

Available in front, intermediate, and rear configurations, with a wide range of displacements depending on the selected series.

MULTIPLE MODULAR GEAR PUMPS ALP-GHP SERIES

Description

ALP-GHP Gear Pumps by Marzocchi represent the evolution of modular hydraulic technology. Designed for the assembly of high-performance multiple pumps, they are available in various configurations: front, intermediate, and rear, and can be freely combined across series and groups (ALP1-4, GHP1-3), offering maximum versatility for complex system configurations.

The modular structure allows precise selection of the desired displacement – from 1.4 to 200 cm³/rev – thanks to the wide available range, and customization of each element to meet specific requirements of pressure, flow rate, speed, and system compatibility.

Materials and Construction

The pump bodies of the ALP series are made from high-strength extruded aluminum alloy, while the GHP versions feature spheroidal cast iron flanges and covers to ensure maximum stability even under high mechanical and thermal stress. The gears are made of specially hardened and case-hardened steel, then ground and superfinished to ensure optimal quiet operation and low pulsation levels.

Die-cast aluminum bushings feature isolated axial and radial compensation zones with preformed seals and anti-extrusion rings, ensuring high volumetric efficiency even at high pressures.

Performance and Operating Range

ALP-GHP pumps offer maximum peak pressures up to 310 bar (GHP3), with intermediate and continuous levels defined for each group. Maximum speeds range from 6000 rpm (GHP1) to 1800–2500 rpm for larger displacement models. Flow rates range from just a few liters per minute to over 280 l/min at 1500 rpm, with volumetric efficiency of 95%.

Minimum speed is also specified for each size and group, ensuring stable operation even in partial load or frequent start/stop conditions.

Configurations and Compatibility

Each modular element is available with numerous flange, shaft, and port variations:

  • European, SAE, BK flanges

  • Cylindrical, conical, and splined shafts

  • Threaded ports M6, M8, M10, G1/4 (depending on group)

  • Standard, VITON®, reinforced (TR) seals

Available configurations include:

  • Standard unidirectional versions (D/S)

  • Modular intermediate versions (I)

  • Rear versions (P)

  • Options “TR” for reinforced sealing, “AS” for separate suction, “AC” for common suction

Special versions are also available for extreme temperature applications (“H”, “V”, “VV”, “ST”) and for high suction pressures (“TR”, up to 6 bar absolute).

Typical Applications

ALP-GHP pumps are used in:

  • Earth-moving machines

  • High-pressure industrial systems

  • Mobile and agricultural vehicles

  • Marine applications

  • Press systems, lifting, and recycling
