Description

The Miselli Breather Cap TMDF-AL – TMDFA-AL Series represents a technical solution for filling and venting operations in hydraulic systems. The component design has been optimized to facilitate manual interaction by the operator: the grip is cylindrical and equipped with vertical lobes, a geometry specifically designed to promote and maximize grip during manual tightening phases. Visually, the main body of the cap is black, while the upper cover is red. The latter clearly displays the standard symbol for “oil filling” and the engraved wording “OIL”, ensuring quick identification of the function within the hydraulic circuit. The series is divided into two main configurations: the TMDF/AL version, which acts as a standard breather cap with splash guard and filter, and the TMDFA/AL version, which additionally integrates a dipstick for direct fluid control.

Construction Materials and Mechanical Resistance

The construction of this hydraulic element is based on the use of thermoplastic materials, specifically Polyamide 66. This construction choice gives the product excellent mechanical resistance, making it suitable for operation under demanding thermal conditions. The specifications indicate guaranteed operational sealing over an extremely wide temperature range, from low temperatures of -30°C up to high heat peaks of +100°C. In addition to thermal tolerance, Polyamide 66 ensures remarkable dimensional stability over time and high impact resistance. As regards hydraulic sealing, the cap relies on an O-Ring gasket made of 70 Shore oil-resistant NBR, a material that prevents leaks and withstands prolonged contact with oils.

Air Filtration System

Atmospheric contamination control is managed by an integrated filtering element. The air filter consists of polyester-based reticulated polyurethane foam. The filtration grade is classified as PPI 60, providing a barrier against particle ingress into the tank during system venting cycles. Oil Splash Guard Protection System

The distinctive engineering feature of this line, which differentiates it from the previous TMDF/TMDFA series, is the introduction of an oil splash guard. This protection is essential to maintain full component efficiency both during normal machine operation and to prevent issues caused by fluid movement during system transport.
