This series is suitable for all types of industrial applications, providing a continuous nominal pressure of up to 12 MPa and withstanding a maximum pressure of 16 MPa. The range includes bore sizes from 25 to 100 mm and strokes of up to 4000 mm, with single-rod or double-rod configurations and up to three piston rod diameters available for each bore size. Its exceptional versatility is demonstrated by the availability of 13 different mounting types for mechanical installation.
The series achieves optimal operation through a cylinder body, or barrel, made of non-magnetic stainless steel and an aluminium-alloy piston equipped with an integrated permanent magnet. This specific architecture allows the proximity sensors to detect the piston rod position with exceptional precision during operation. The sensors are installed directly on the tie rods using dedicated brackets, allowing flexible positioning along the entire cylinder stroke. When the sensor detects the piston’s magnetic field, the electrical circuit switches immediately. Two main types of IP67 sensors are available: the KPN type, an electronic Hall-effect sensor with high sensitivity and unlimited electrical service life, and the KA Reed type. Sensors equipped with an indicator LED require a minimum voltage of 20 V DC for the display circuit to operate correctly and are supplied as standard with a 3-metre cable.
The materials used for the internal and external components ensure durability and high performance. The standard piston rod is made of chrome-plated steel, with optional treatments available such as hardening and chrome plating, or the use of nickel and chrome-plated NI-CROMAX30 to withstand high levels of oxidation or demanding environments. The end caps, spacer, tie rod and anti-loosening plug are manufactured from robust steel, while the guide bushing uses the mechanical properties of cast iron. The seals, supplied by leading manufacturers, vary to meet specific application requirements relating to speed, frequency, temperature and fluid type. Seal materials range from nitrile rubber combined with polyurethane or PTFE for the piston and piston rod, ensuring excellent hydraulic sealing and optimised friction.
The series offers multiple additional options that can be selected during the design phase, including fixed or adjustable cushioning systems positioned on different sides of the front and rear end caps, dedicated air bleed valves, piston rod-side drainage for leakage management, and spacer configurations. A total of 13 ISO mounting types are supported, including ME5, ME6, MS2, MP1, MP3, MP5, MT1, MT2, MX1, MX2, MX3, MX5 and MX6. Every product undergoes strict inspections and hydraulic testing on 100% of production to certify compliance with the expected high quality standards.
