The FOX SSB6 – SSB10 Series Manual Safety Block is a fundamental component for oil-side management in hydraulic systems. This specific configuration was developed to offer a versatile safety block, intended for all customers who already have valves, adapters and nipples. Its architecture allows the connections on both the accumulator side and the system side to be customized independently, ensuring perfect integration through the use of original FOX VS adapters or NS nipples.

Construction Features and Reliability

FOX manual safety blocks stand out for their high solidity. Both available versions are made as standard from galvanized steel, a material that ensures durability and long-term protection. Confirming their high safety standards, these components are CE certified and designed to withstand a maximum operating pressure of 350 bar. For applications operating in particularly aggressive environments, a fully stainless steel version is also available upon request.

Operating Principle and Integrated Safety Valve

One of the main operational advantages offered by the FOX SSB6 – SSB10 Series Manual Safety Block lies in the supply of a system that already includes a safety valve. This valve is supplied directly calibrated to the pressure required at the time of ordering; the calibration value expressed in bar must therefore be specified in advance by the customer. This feature eliminates the need for additional calibration, speeding up system setup operations.

Technical Specifications and Differences Between Models

The series consists of two main manual versions, differentiated by flow rate, passage diameter and physical dimensions, both recommended for FOX accumulators with volumes from 0.051 to 10 litres.

SSB6 Model

The SSB6 model features a fluid passage diameter of 10 mm and handles a flow rate of 50 l/min calculated at 10 m/s. The hydraulic connections, on both the accumulator side and the system side, are 1/2″ BSP-F. In terms of dimensions, this block has a height (H) of 40 mm, a depth (P) of 50 mm and a length (L) of 150 mm.

SSB10 Model

Designed to handle higher flows, the SSB10 model has a 12 mm passage, allowing a flow rate of 120 l/min at 10 m/s. In this case, the hydraulic connections increase to 3/4″ BSP-F on both sides. The overall dimensions are consequently larger, with a height (H) of 45 mm, a depth (P) of 60 mm and a length (L) of 170 mm.
