The MP Filter Series LMP 400-401 is designed for low and medium pressure applications, with flow rates up to 780 l/min and maximum operating pressures up to 60 bar (6 MPa). Ideal for off-line tank filtration and lubrication systems. Made with anodized aluminum head and housing, it ensures high resistance. Available in in-line or 90° configuration, with flanged or threaded connections.
The MP Filter Series LMP 400-401 range consists of low and medium pressure filters equipped with a large filtration surface. These technical components are primarily designed for lubrication, off-line tank filtration, and filtration systems. They connect directly to the system lines through hydraulic fittings. To ensure maximum efficiency and installation flexibility, the filters feature female threaded connections up to 2″ and flanged connections up to 2 1/2″. Filters of the LMP 400 model are specifically intended for vertical mounting. The system is equipped with vent ports to prevent air entrapment and drain ports for removing hydraulic fluid before maintenance operations.
The main distinction between the two models lies in the inlet and outlet port configuration. The LMP 400 model features in-line inlet/outlet connections. The LMP 401 model, on the other hand, is equipped with 90° inlet/outlet connections to suit specific system layout requirements. Both models are also available with a base-mount design, making filter element replacement easier.
The structure of the MP Filter Series LMP 400-401 is designed to withstand demanding operating conditions. The head and housing are entirely made of anodized aluminum. The internal bypass valve is made of steel and has a standard opening pressure of 0.35 MPa (3.5 bar) ±10%, essential for relieving excessive pressure drop across the filter element. Standard seals are made of NBR (series A), with an FPM option (series V) for specific chemical compatibility requirements. The permissible operating temperature range is between -25°C and +110°C. Integration of visual, electrical, and electronic differential clogging indicators is also possible.
Pressure performance varies depending on the filter body length. For lengths 2, 3, and 4, the maximum operating pressure is 6 MPa (60 bar), with test pressure at 90 bar and minimum burst pressure at 180 bar. For lengths 5 and 6, the maximum operating pressure is limited to 5 MPa (50 bar), with test pressure at 75 bar and burst pressure at 150 bar. Both dimensional variants have successfully passed rigorous impulse fatigue tests of 1,000,000 cycles. The maximum flow rate for a complete filter, calculated with a pressure drop Δp=0.7 bar, reaches 780 l/min.
The flow direction through the filter element proceeds from the outside to the inside (OUT to IN). Available filter media include inorganic microfiber (with filtration ratings from 3 µm to 25 µm), wire mesh (from 25 µm to 90 µm), resin-impregnated paper (10 µm and 25 µm), and a 25 µm inorganic microfiber water-absorbing element, essential for removing free water from hydraulic fluid within the system. The filter element series ensures a collapse resistance (Δp) of 20 bar.
