The MP Filter Series LMP 430-431 is designed for low and medium pressure systems, supporting maximum working pressures up to 50 bar and flow rates up to 780 l/min. Thanks to the large filtration surface, it is ideal for lubrication and off-line tank filtration. Available with in-line connections for the LMP 430 series or 90-degree connections for the LMP 431 series, it features a fully anodized aluminum head and housing, ensuring durability and excellent long-term performance.
The MP Filter Series LMP 430-431 represents an advanced range of filters specifically designed for low and medium pressure applications, distinguished by the large filtration surface available. The maximum allowable working pressure for these components reaches 5 MPa, equivalent to 50 bar, enabling the handling of significant fluid flow rates up to 780 l/min. The filters are installed by connecting them directly to the operating lines of the hydraulic system through dedicated hydraulic fittings. The flow direction of the operating fluid through the filter element consistently occurs from the outside toward the inside of the filter media.
These devices are primarily and most commonly used for off-line filtration of hydraulic tanks, in the implementation of general filtration systems, and for specific industrial lubrication purposes.
The materials used to manufacture the filter body are carefully selected to ensure maximum structural strength: both the upper head and the main housing are entirely made of anodized aluminum, while the optional bypass valve is constructed from solid steel. Models identified as LMP 430 feature perfectly in-line inlet and outlet connections, while the LMP 431 series uses dedicated and functional 90-degree connections. To maximize installation flexibility, both female threaded connections up to 2 inches and flanged connections up to 2 1/2 inches are available. The structural design also allows convenient base mounting, an engineering feature intended to simplify the replacement of the exhausted filter element.
The filters offer advanced technical options including integrated bypass valves to relieve excessive pressure drops across the filter media in a controlled manner, upper vent ports to prevent trapped air from entering the system, and convenient lower drain ports used to remove hydraulic fluid before performing maintenance work. A special construction version, called P02, includes an internal tube. This option is strongly recommended for low flow rates, specifically below 100 or 150 l/min, and significantly facilitates filling the housing with operating fluid during start-up phases. For continuous monitoring of the filter clogging condition, the series is compatible with visual, electrical, or electronic differential pressure indicators, ensuring full operator control over the system cleanliness level.
The standard filter element is tested to handle a differential pressure of 20 bar. Available filtration ratings vary depending on the selected filter media: inorganic microfiber media provide precision ratings of 3, 6, 10, 16, and 25 microns. Alternatively, wire mesh versions are available in 25, 60, and 90 microns, while resin-impregnated paper versions cover 10 and 25 microns. A special 25-micron inorganic microfiber element is also available, specifically designed for water absorption. Regarding seals and gaskets, the standard material used is NBR, with alternative options available in FPM or NBR with special protective surface treatment applied directly to the element tube. The safe operating temperature range extends from a minimum of -25°C up to a maximum of +110°C. The bypass valve, where installed, has an opening pressure set at 3.5 bar with an operating tolerance of 10 percent. Finally, in terms of mechanical durability, the certified minimum burst pressure is 150 bar (15 MPa), and the filters are rigorously fatigue-tested for 1,000,000 cycles with pulsating pressure from 0 to 50 bar.
