Designed for demanding hydraulic systems, the MP Filter Series LMP 952-953-954 delivers excellent performance in low and medium pressure applications. Built with anodized aluminum head and housing, it supports maximum working pressures up to 25 bar and high flow rates up to 4500 l/min. The base-mounted design significantly simplifies filter element replacement, making it an ideal solution for off-line tank filtration and lubrication circuits.
Low and medium pressure filters are an essential component for contamination control within complex hydraulic systems. The MP Filter Series LMP 952-953-954 has been developed to provide a large filtration surface, operating at maximum working pressures of 2.5 MPa (25 bar) and handling high flow rates up to 4500 l/min.
The operating principle of this series is based on a modular architecture in which multiple filters from the LMP950 line are connected to a common manifold. This configuration is designed to minimize pressure drop generated by the filter media and to extend the operational life of the filter elements. The family is divided into three main configurations, differentiated by the number of installed filter elements (CU950-3 type):
System integrity at high flow rates is ensured through specific material selections. The head, housing body, and bypass valve are entirely made of anodized aluminum, while the welded manifolds are constructed from phosphated steel. The units feature 4-inch flanged connections and are designed for vertical in-line mounting. The base-mounted design has been specifically engineered to facilitate filter element replacement operations.
The series provides excellent structural reliability: tested at 3.5 MPa (35 bar), it ensures a minimum burst pressure of 7.5 MPa (75 bar). It has also successfully completed fatigue testing of 1,000,000 cycles within a pressure range of 0–25 bar. To protect the system from excessive pressure differentials caused by clogging, a bypass valve is installed with an opening pressure set at 0.35 MPa (3.5 bar) ±10%. Standard seals are supplied in NBR (series A) for an operating temperature range from -25°C to +110°C, with optional FPM seals (series V) available.
To ensure safe maintenance and uninterrupted operation, the filter housing is equipped with vent ports (to prevent trapped air from entering the hydraulic circuit) and drain ports (to discharge fluid before maintenance operations). The clogging condition can be continuously monitored thanks to compatibility with visual, electrical, or electronic differential pressure indicators. Typical applications for this filter series include lubrication circuits, dedicated filtration equipment, and off-line tank filtration, with the option to install specific elements designed for free water removal from the fluid.
