Oleo Tecnica Blind Flanges are designed to ensure structural isolation and leak-tight closure in high-pressure industrial hydraulic circuits. The catalogue is divided into two distinct dimensional and performance ranges. Series 3000 offers a maximum recommended working pressure that varies according to flange size: for smaller diameters, from 1/2″ to 1″, sealing is guaranteed up to 345 Kg/cm2. As nominal size increases, the supported maximum design pressure gradually decreases, reaching 276 Kg/cm2 for the 1″1/4 size, 207 Kg/cm2 for the 1″1/2 and 2″ models, and finally stabilising at 34 Kg/cm2 for the largest sizes from 3″1/2 to 5″. By contrast, Series 6000 is engineered for continuous heavy-duty applications, ensuring a constant recommended working pressure of 414 Kg/cm2 for all catalogue sizes, ranging from 1/2″ up to 3″.

Construction Materials and Designation

To meet different environmental and operating requirements, these flanges are available from the manufacturer in two material variants: S355 carbon steel and AISI 316L stainless steel. During configuration and ordering, the material is clearly identified by the base code: the standard prefix “AFC” indicates components manufactured in S355 steel, while the prefix “AFCX” designates the high corrosion-resistance AISI 316L variant.

Kit Configuration and Fastening System Details

Blind flanges can be supplied in a “flange only” configuration or with complete installation kits including fastening screws, spring washers and the O-ring seal. Complete kits are specified by adding a dedicated suffix to the base code: the letter “M” for configurations with metric screws and the letter “U” for UNC threaded screws. It is essential to note some mandatory technical restrictions stated in the catalogue: UNC screw sets are available exclusively in carbon steel.
