Oleo Tecnica Butt-Weld Double Flanges represent a robust and reliable solution for connecting rigid pipes within high-performance hydraulic systems. The construction design of these flanges features a 30° bevel angle, optimised to facilitate butt welding and ensure maximum penetration and structural sealing of the joint.

These components are designed to be fully compatible with pipes having specific wall thicknesses, in particular covering SCH.80, SCH.160 and SCH.XXS schedules. During installation and selection, it is strictly necessary to verify that flange dimensions “A” and “B” correspond exactly to the schedule of the pipe being used, in order to prevent misalignment and ensure correct fluid dynamics throughout the system.

Working Pressure and Available Series

The range is divided into two main categories to meet different load requirements: Series 3000 and Series 6000.

Series 3000 covers sizes from 1/2″ up to 5″. The maximum recommended working pressure (referred to SCH.80) for this series starts at 345 Kg/cm² for smaller sizes, progressively decreasing to 34 Kg/cm² for the 3″1/2, 4″ and 5″ versions.

Series 6000, designed for higher-pressure circuits, is available in sizes from 1/2″ to 3″. In this case, maximum recommended working pressures reach 414 Kg/cm² for the smaller diameters, decreasing to 200 Kg/cm² for the 3″ model.

It is essential to specify that the recommended working pressure stated in the catalogue is based on the flange itself: the actual maximum working pressure of the complete system is determined by the wall thickness and material type (steel grade) of the pipe used.

Materials and Ordering Designation

Oleo Tecnica Butt-Weld Double Flanges are supplied as a complete configuration including flange, counter flange and screw set. Available flange-body materials are S355 carbon steel and AISI 316L stainless steel, providing suitable options for standard or highly corrosive environments.

When ordering, the designation varies according to the material and type of fasteners required (metric or UNC). Product families are identified as follows:

• For S355 steel with metric screws, the designation is DFS…STM, while with UNC screws it is DFS…STU.
• For AISI 316L steel with metric screws, the designation is DFX…STM, while with UNC screws it is DFX…STU.

Important technical note: both metric and UNC screw sets supplied with the assembly are available exclusively in carbon steel, regardless of the material selected for the flange body.
