STAUFF Weld Plate for Double Clamps (Type SPAS – Heavy Series)
The STAUFF Weld Plate for Double Clamps (Type SPAS – Heavy Series) is designed in accordance with DIN 3015 (Part 2). Available for Groups 3S to 12S, it ensures robust fastening of pipework in high-pressure systems. Manufactured from carbon steel (uncoated, phosphated, zinc-plated) or stainless steel (AISI 304/303, AISI 316/316 TI). It offers maximum installation flexibility thanks to ISO Metric or Unified Coarse UNC thread options.
The available standard product codes are: SPAS-3S-M-W2, SPAS-3S-U-W2, SPAS-4S-M-W2, SPAS-4S-U-W2, SPAS-5S-M-W2, SPAS-5S-U-W2, SPAS-6S-M-W2, SPAS-6S-U-W2, SPAS-7S-M-W2, SPAS-7S-U-W2, SPAS-8S-M-W1, SPAS-8S-U-W1, SPAS-9S-M-W1, SPAS-9S-U-W1, SPAS-10S-M-W1, SPAS-10S-U-W1, SPAS-11S-M-W1, SPAS-11S-U-W1, SPAS-12S-M-W1, SPAS-12S-U-W1.
STAUFF Weld Plate for Double Clamps (Type SPAS – Heavy Series)
The STAUFF Weld Plate for Double Clamps (Type SPAS – Heavy Series) is a fundamental mechanical base component for the secure fastening of pipework in industrial hydraulic circuits. Designed strictly in accordance with the specifications of DIN 3015, Part 2, this plate belongs to the Heavy Series, specifically engineered to withstand high mechanical loads and extreme pressure peaks.
The dimensional range covers a wide spectrum of installation requirements. The plates are available for STAUFF Groups ranging from size 3S to 12S, corresponding to DIN Groups 1 to 10. Structural dimensions vary proportionally according to the group size to ensure stability: the overall length (dimension L1) starts at 74 mm for Group 3S and reaches 680 mm for Group 12S. At the same time, the plate width (B1) ranges from 60 mm to 364 mm, ensuring an adequate welding surface for double clamps.
In addition to the main external dimensions, the plate geometry includes precise tolerances for the centre distance between the fastening holes. The longitudinal centre distance (L2) starts at 33 mm for the most compact model and extends up to 534 mm for Group 12S. The transverse centre distance (B2) ranges from 30.5 mm up to 186 mm in the largest models. The thickness of the weldable base (dimension S) varies from an initial 8 mm up to a substantial 30 mm, preventing thermal deformation during welding and ensuring permanent structural rigidity during pressurised operation. The height of the threaded boss (H) is sized according to the screw diameter, from 8 mm up to 50 mm.
To suit different operating environments and levels of exposure to corrosive agents, the weld plates for double clamps are available in five distinct material configurations, identified by standard codes:
Alternative materials and surface finishes are also available from the manufacturer upon specific request.
A crucial technical feature of the STAUFF Weld Plate for Double Clamps (Type SPAS – Heavy Series) is the flexibility of its fastening systems. All threaded parts can be selected according to two international standards:
