The Miselli Low-Profile Cap TPB – TPBS – TPBSF Series is a cylindrical-head component with knurled grip, specifically designed for press-fit mounting in hydraulic systems. Made of durable Polyamide 66 thermoplastic material, it ensures optimal operating sealing through an NBR 70 Shore O-Ring gasket. As an accessory with reduced external dimensions, it is particularly suitable for installations in confined spaces. The variants differ by integrating air venting functionality (TPBS) and polyurethane foam filtration (TPBSF). The maximum supported operating temperature is 100°C.
The range of accessories for fluid management includes the Miselli Low-Profile Cap TPB – TPBS – TPBSF Series, a family of plastic breather caps developed for hydraulic circuits. These filler caps feature a cylindrical-head profile with a convenient knurled grip, simplifying installation and inspection. The compact design has been specifically conceived to offer reduced external dimensions; therefore, they are particularly suitable for all system configurations where the available mounting space is highly limited.
To ensure long-lasting performance within hydraulic systems, the entire series is manufactured using a high-resistance thermoplastic material, namely Polyamide 66. This technical polymer allows the components to withstand a maximum operating temperature of 100°C without deformation. Hydraulic safety and leakage prevention are ensured by a dedicated sealing gasket: an O-Ring made of NBR 70 Shore, perfectly housed in its dedicated seat for secure sealing.
The line is divided into three models, each designed for specific system requirements:
TPB Series Models: These are classic low-profile caps with press-fit mounting, suitable for simple closure of the filling point without air venting.
TPBS Series Models: These are identified as low-profile caps with breather, also with press-fit mounting. Their structural peculiarity is the presence of six air venting sections, formed and positioned exactly below the grip.
TPBSF Series Models: These represent the most advanced version, as they are low-profile caps equipped with both breather function (six sections) and filtering element. The built-in air filter consists of PPI 60 polyester-based reticulated polyurethane foam, essential for preventing impurities from entering the tank.
These components require precise and calibrated press-fit mounting. For optimal insertion, the technical specifications require an insertion hole with a tolerance between -0 and +0.1. At the same time, it is mandatory to create a 1/45° entry chamfer to facilitate O-Ring insertion without risking pinching or cuts. All caps in the series share a fixed external diameter (dimension D) of 30 mm. They are available in four basic dimensional sizes, identified by codes 18, 20, 26 and 30, which respectively feature an insertion diameter (dimension F) of 18 mm, 20 mm, 26 mm and 30 mm. The overall height (dimension h1) also varies slightly between 14.5 mm and 15.5 mm, as does the penetration depth into the hole (dimension h2), ranging from 14 mm up to 16.3 mm.
